SAN BERNARDINO, CA – San Bernardino County Assessor-Recorder Chris Wilhite delivered Supplemental Assessment Roll #132 to the County’s Auditor-Controller/Treasurer/Tax Collector which contains a net assessed value of $11,537,333,240.
“I have signed and delivered Supplemental Assessment Roll #132 to the Auditor-Controller/Treasurer/Tax Collector,” said Assessor-Recorder Chris Wilhite. “More than 48,000 parcels were included in this supplemental assessment roll, which represents recent real estate transactions including property ownership transfers and new developments.”
California state law requires county assessors to reappraise property upon a change in ownership or new construction to identify changes in assessed value that occur in the middle of a fiscal year, whether an increase or decrease. Supplemental assessments are issued on real property such as land, improvements, fixtures and taxable possessory interests, but do not apply to personal property or any property not subject to Proposition 13.
A Supplemental Roll is provided three times a year, in addition to the annual Property Assessment Roll, which is delivered in July.
Property owners who are assessed will be provided a written notice by mail from the assessor, as required by state law. Individuals wishing to see their personal assessed values may visit: arc.sbcounty.gov. The public can also call the Assessor’s toll-free number at 1-877-885-7654.
