Due Date April 1
Penalty Date May 7 – If May 7th falls on a weekend or legal holiday, the property statement may be e-filed or mailed and postmarked on the next business day.

The San Bernardino County Assessor provides several options for filing Business Property Statements (571-L):

e-File Quick and Easy 

This link takes you to the centralized California electronic filing website where you can enter data (with validations and automated calculations) and submit electronically.

Benefits:

  • Enter your data online
  • Automatic validations and calculations
  • Pre-fills your statement with costs from your previous year’s statement (when the previous year’s statement was also filed via this website)
  • Saves all e-filings filed via the centralized California website
  • Receive a confirmation

Requirements:

Blank Form

This link takes you to a blank Business Property Statement that you can print, fill out, sign and mail.

Benefits:

  • Receive the form immediately

Disadvantages:

  • Must write information on the form
  • Does not have automatic validations and calculations
  • Does not pre-fill your statement with costs from your previous year’s statement
  • Does not provide a confirmation

Requirements:

  • Must have a printer

Request a Blank Form to be mailed to you

This link allows you to request a blank Business Property Statement to be mailed to you via the USPS.
