San Bernardino, CA — For the first time in San Bernardino County, the Assessor-Recorder-County Clerk’s Office is inviting couples to celebrate their love with a fun and unique twist during its inaugural “May the Fourth Be with You” wedding event on Monday, May 4th, 2026.

Led by Assessor-Recorder-County Clerk Josie Gonzales, the County Clerk division will debut this special themed experience at the Hall of Records, where a dedicated marriage ceremony room will be decorated to capture the spirit of the day and provide couples with a memorable setting to say “I do.”

“When the stars align and two worlds come together as one through marriage, there’s a little bit of magic in the air and here in San Bernardino County, the Force is strong,” said Josie Gonzales. “My office is excited to celebrate our couples in a way that’s joyful, memorable, and just a little out of this world.”

The event will take place at:

Hall of Records
222 W. Hospitality Lane, 1st Floor
San Bernardino, CA 92415

From 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., themed characters will be onsite at the Hall of Records, adding to the immersive and celebratory atmosphere. Couples and guests are encouraged to join in the fun by dressing in themed attire, whether as a Jedi, Yoda, or another favorite character.

Marriage licenses and civil ceremonies will be available by appointment, and early scheduling is highly encouraged due to anticipated demand for this one-of-a-kind experience.

In addition to services offered at the Hall of Records, the County Clerk division provides marriage licenses and ceremonies year-round at the:

Hesperia Government Center
